The Neryungri State District Power Plant in Yakutia is gradually returning to operation after a fire that occurred in September. The second power unit has already been put into operation — for now, as part of testing after repairs. This was reported by the republic's operational headquarters.

Recall that on September 22, a transformer substation caught fire on the territory of the plant. The fire was extinguished on the same day, but there were casualties — one person was injured. By September 25, heat supply in the Neryungri district was restored, and on the night of September 26, power engineers launched the third power unit.
According to the head of the Neryungri district, Maxim Tereshchenko, two out of three units are now in operation — the second and third. The plant continues to recover, and the main task is to restore the first power unit. The operational headquarters clarified that it will remain under repair until the end of 2026.
