The oilfield services company JSC "Samotlorneftepromkhim" (Nizhnevartovsk) operated the non-self-propelled ferry BNDS-06 (project 187) without documents confirming the vessel's suitability. Employees of the Tyumen Transport Prosecutor's Office identified the violation and filed a lawsuit. This was reported by the press service of the Ural Transport Prosecutor's Office.

The vessel, in particular, lacked a classification certificate and a survey act.

The transport prosecutor sent a statement of claim to the court to prohibit the shipowner from operating the vessel until the necessary documents are obtained from the Russian Classification Society.
