The airline "Aeroflot" expects to receive the first MC-21 aircraft as early as the end of 2026, despite the fact that the aircraft's certification has not yet been completed. The request for delivery was announced by the company's Investor Relations Director, Andrey Napolnov.

According to him, the carrier has already begun training crews and air networks.

We expect the first delivery of Russian aircraft from the end of 2026. Of course, an important task is to get this aircraft off the ground and ensure its efficient operation, including ensuring safety and comfort for passengers at the level they are used to, flying on foreign equipment.
Andrey Napolnov, Director of Investor Relations at Aeroflot

It is known that "Aeroflot" intends to receive 108 units of MC-21-310 by 2030, and then increase the fleet to 200 aircraft by 2035.

Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov admitted a shift in the timing of MC-21 certification. At the end of March, Rosaviatsiya stated that the MC-21-310 should receive a type certificate in October 2026.

"Pervyi Tekhnicheskiy" calculated the required volume of aircraft production to meet the airline's needs of 200 units by 2030.
