Following the SJ-100, the MS-21-310 may also "shift to the right"

The Ministry of Industry and Trade allows for a postponement of the certification deadlines for the import-substituted airliner

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade does not rule out a shift in the certification deadlines for the import-substituted MS-21 aircraft. This was announced by the head of the ministry, Anton Alikhanov.

According to him, at the current moment the MS-21 has completed only 29% of its flight program.

Of course, once again: anything is possible, and I will not say that there are no risks. This is, as it were, the objective reality from which we proceed. That means we have a very tight flight program for the MS. Let us hope that we will also fit everything into the schedule.
Anton Alikhanov, head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation

Alikhanov specified that flight tests of the MS-21-310 are being conducted on two prototype aircraft; 68 out of 232 certification flights have been completed.

At the end of March, Rosaviatsiya stated that the MS-21-310 should receive its type certificate in October 2025. The largest customer for the airliners became "Aeroflot." "Pervyi Tekhnicheskii" calculated the required aircraft production volume to meet the airline's demand for 200 units by 2030.
