St. Petersburg automobile plants produced 48,000 cars in 2025, according to the city's Vice Governor Kirill Polyakov.
Last year, enterprises in St. Petersburg produced 6,000 more cars than the year before. The main contribution to this result was made by "Automotive Plant AGR" (formerly the Hyundai plant).
"Automotive Plant AGR" has doubled its output. More than 45,000 cars have been produced from the assembly line.
Another three thousand Lada Iskra cars rolled off the assembly line of "Автозавод Санкт-Петербург".
The Hyundai plant in St. Petersburg was opened in 2010. Until 2022, the company produced Hyundai Solaris, Creta, and Kia Rio. The plant changed its name to "Automotive Plant AGR" in 2024.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the former General Motors plant in St. Petersburg will resume car production in 2026.
