The issue of a complete ban on the operation of regional An-24 aircraft in Russia is not currently being considered. This was announced by the head of Rostransnadzor, Viktor Gulin.
According to him, carriers fly these aircraft in strict accordance with established standards.
All aircraft regularly undergo technical inspections and certification. The issue of a complete ban on their operation is not being considered today.
Gulin emphasized that the agency monitors the technical condition of the An-24 and, if significant risks are identified, imposes a ban or restrictions on flights.
As a reminder, on July 24, 2025, an An-24 aircraft of the "Angara" airlinecrashed in the Amur region. There were 48 people on board, including six crew members, all of whom died.
At the same time, to replace the aging An-24 aircraft fleet in Russia, they arebuilding the Il-114-300. However, they aremore demanding on the runway, noted Yuri Zakharchenko, executive director of the RKK-Nauka professional association.
