Il-114-300 spent 1,000 hours in the sky and is 99% ready

A few flights remain in specific climatic conditions

The import-substituted regional aircraft Il-114-300 has completed 99% of its certification flights. In the foreseeable future, the project will complete the test program, said Vadim Badeha, General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).

According to him, the project actually has a few flights left related to the climatic features of operation.

We will wait for the onset of appropriate climatic conditions. There are issues related to icing, low temperatures and lightning. This should happen in the foreseeable future, we hope.

Badeha confirmed information that the aviation plant in Lukhovitsy launched mass production of liners. Three of them will be received by customers in 2026. Recall that the aviation industry development program until 2030 outlines plans to build 51 aircraft of the series.

Analysts of the "Flying Together" blog clarified that aircraft with tail numbers 54115 and 54116 are participating in the certification of the Il-114-300. The first one spent more than 749 hours in the sky, and the second one - more than 367.

In addition, recently the Il-114-300 with tail number 54116 accelerated to 580 km/h, which is 130 km/h higher than the cruising speed of the aircraft.
