All major Russian airlines are ready to replenish their fleets with domestic aircraft and conclude preliminary agreements for their supply. This was announced by the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, Andrey Nikitin.
According to him, aircraft factories are demanding to be provided with orders for production.
Today, all our major airlines are ready to buy domestic aircraft, ready to sign preliminary agreements with aircraft manufacturers. From the point of view of market demand, there is such a demand, and we see that the dynamics there are also positive.
Nikitin emphasized that foreign aircraft in the fleets of carriers are being serviced properly. He called the opening of new technical centers an engineering miracle.
Our airlines have performed such an engineering miracle. That is, in principle, this is an industry that did not exist in the country at all — of such scale and such quality. And today, all foreign vessels are being serviced properly by our airlines.
Meanwhile, First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov allowed for amendments to the Comprehensive Program for the Development of Civil Aviation until 2030, but only after the start of deliveries of "Суперджетов" and МС-21 to airlines. This document defines plans for the construction of new aircraft in the country.
The head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, added that the "Суперджет" could be certified in the first half of 2026, and МС-21 — by the end of next year.
