«MCC» Company Equipped Vessels «Omsk» and «Parodatel-1» with Modern Boilers

Boilers with a steam capacity of up to 3 tons per hour will provide high power for ship needs

«MCC» Company, specializing in marine power equipment, together with its South Korean partner, Booster, has supplied steam boilers for the modernization of two Russian vessels: the tanker «Omsk» and the rack vessel «Parodatel-1».

Two steam diesel boilers with a capacity of 1,500 kg/h each were supplied for the tanker «Omsk», and two fuel oil steam boilers with a capacity of 3,000 kg/h each for the «Parodatel-1». The equipment is being installed as part of programs for the technical re-equipment and extension of the life of ships.

The supplied boilers belong to the category of auxiliary marine steam generators and are designed to generate saturated steam necessary for technological processes on board — including heating fuel and cargo, operating steam turbines, and sanitary needs. The design of the boilers provides a high degree of automation of control, compact placement, as well as compliance with international environmental standards. Fuel oil modifications are equipped with fuel preheating systems and automatic combustion control, which increases energy efficiency and reduces emissions of harmful substances.
