Import-substituted and tested: MS-21 aircraft floor panels tested for strength at TsAGI

Made of domestic polymer composite materials

The "Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky" (TsAGI) has tested import-substituted floor panels for the MS-21 aircraft. This was reported in the press service of the scientific institution.

The panels for the flagship narrow-body MS-21 airliner were created from domestic polymer composite materials. Impact damage was applied to the experimental samples, followed by non-destructive testing.

To determine the stress-strain state on the frame and panels, the institute's specialists glued strain gauges. Then the objects were installed on the full-scale aircraft structure; a loading system was assembled.

The test results confirmed the reliability of the import-substituted floor panels. The next stage is testing the air brake, aileron, doors, interceptor, flap suspension beams, and aircraft glazing.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that key systems of the MS-21-310 were successfully created in Russia independently.
