The lead vessel of a new series, the ice-class sea tug "Verman", built according to project T3150-3D, was launched at the Zelenodolsk Shipyard named after A.M. Gorky. This was officially announced by the press service of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The vessel «Верман» will be the first of five planned multifunctional emergency rescue tugs of this project. The new vessel is designed to perform a wide range of tasks: from towing non-self-propelled objects and escorting vessels in port waters to eliminating the consequences of oil spills (OSR), extinguishing fires on water bodies and participating in search and rescue operations.
All design and working documentation was prepared by specialists from MIC SPb. The company also provides technical support for the construction of all five tugs in the series.
