Tu-22M3 strategic long-range bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) conducted a scheduled flight over the Black Sea, outside national airspace. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the mission lasted more than five hours.
Tu-22M3 long-range bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces performed a scheduled flight in the airspace over the neutral waters of the Black Sea. Fighter escort was provided by crews of Su-35S and Su-27 aircraft of the VKS.
Long-range aviation crews regularly perform training and combat flights over the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Pacific Ocean, as well as the Baltic and Black Seas. According to the military department, all air operations of the Russian Aerospace Forces are carried out in full compliance with international norms and rules for the use of airspace.
