Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, carriers of Kh-22 and Kh-101 supersonic missiles, flew over the Black Sea

The aircraft crew conducted a patrol flight lasting over five hours

Tu-22M3 strategic long-range bombers of the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) conducted a scheduled flight over the Black Sea, outside national airspace. According to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the mission lasted more than five hours.

Long-range aviation crews regularly perform training and combat flights over the neutral waters of the Arctic, North Atlantic, Pacific Ocean, as well as the Baltic and Black Seas. According to the military department, all air operations of the Russian Aerospace Forces are carried out in full compliance with international norms and rules for the use of airspace.

Ту-22М3 is a supersonic strategic bomber with variable-sweep wings, capable of carrying both conventional and high-precision munitions over long distances. Its use in scheduled flights demonstrates the readiness of long-range aviation to perform tasks in various regions of the world.
