22 Airfields by 2030: Russia Launches Large-Scale Infrastructure Modernization

Rostransmodernizatsiya and the State Air Traffic Management Corporation Discuss the Development of Russia's Airfield Network

A working meeting was held in Moscow between the management of the Federal State Institution Rostransmodernizatsiya and the State Air Traffic Management Corporation (OrVD). The discussion was attended by Evgeny Turiev, General Director of Rostransmodernizatsiya, his deputy Konstantin Deryabin, and Andrey Bulin, head of the State Air Traffic Management Corporation.

The main topic of the meeting was the development of civil aviation infrastructure and improving the efficiency of joint work within the framework of the federal project "Development of the опорной network of airfields", which is part of the national project "Efficient Transport System".

The parties discussed the coordination of project implementation timelines, updating programs, and priority areas for modernization.

By 2030, Russia plans to implement 22 new projects for the construction and reconstruction of airfields. Among the promising facilities are the airports of Okhotsk, Olyokminsk, Gelendzhik, Yakutsk, Murmansk, Seimchan, Ugolny (Anadyr), and Zyryanka. The program includes not only the renovation of runways and terminals, but also the modernization of air traffic management systems.
