Testing of equipment components and the motor bogie frame of the first domestic high-speed train (HST) produced by the "Ural Locomotives" plant has begun at the Research and Design and Technology Institute (NIiKTI). This was reported in the press service of the Sinara Group.
The main feature of the motor bogie is a subframe that provides independent suspension of the traction motor. This design reduces the impact on the track and contributes to a smooth ride at high speeds.
Welding of the bogie frames of the high-speed train is carried out on robotic complexes from domestic S355 steel, which is able to maintain impact strength at low temperatures. This is especially important when operating rolling stock at high speed in the Russian climate.
The frame must withstand 10 million load cycles to confirm the absence of fatigue cracks and compliance with modern standards for service life and safety. Previously, the frame of the non-motor bogie of the HST successfully passed the tests. In the future, the assembled motor and non-motor bogies will be tested as part of a high-speed train.
In parallel with the frame testing, tests are being carried out on other elements of the HST equipment – the axles of the motor and non-motor wheelsets, wheels and traction gearboxes with the axle and as part of the wheelset.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the installation of crane beams has begun in the largest production building for assembling trains for the HSR.
