The vehicle fleet of the convoy department of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Ulyanovsk region has been replenished with a new specialized transport vehicle of the AZ type on a KamAZ chassis. The vehicle is designed for the transportation of suspects, accused and convicted persons, the department said.
The new vehicle is designed for 24 convicts and 6 security guards. Inside there are 6 single cells and 2 general cells with a capacity of up to 9 people. The vehicle is equipped with light and sound signaling devices, air conditioning and ventilation systems, a GLONASS navigation system, video surveillance cameras and a biotoilet.
The renewal of the vehicle fleet of the convoy department with modern domestic vehicles contributes to improving the quality of security and comfort during the transportation of convicts and persons in custody. Employees of the convoy department express confidence that the new KAMAZ vehicle will become an effective tool in their professional activities.
