The Central Research Institute for Precision Machine Engineering (TsNIITOCHMASH JSC, part of the Kalashnikov Concern of the Rostec State Corporation) has completed ahead of schedule the supply of 1P45-1 sighting devices under state contracts for 2025. This was reported by the concern's press service.
New agreements with customers have already been concluded for 2026-27. The 1P45-1 sighting device is included in the комплектацию of the Kornet anti-tank missile system (ATGM).
The uniqueness of the sight lies in its high efficiency and survivability in extreme conditions. It takes a soldier only a few seconds to prepare the installation for combat.
The combat crew operates on the principle of "see - strike", Kalashnikov noted. The device is unpretentious in operation, easily tolerates transportation by land, water and air in packaging, which is also developed and manufactured by TsNIITOCHMASH JSC.
Characteristics of the Kornet ATGM:
- Control system — semi-automatic, laser beam guided
- Firing range — up to 5500 m during the day and up to 4500 m at night
- Armor penetration — 1000-1200 mm
- Missile caliber — 152 mm
- Warhead type — cumulative tandem and high-explosive
- Launcher weight — 26 kg
There is also a known case when a Kornet missile pierced the armor and engine of an American Abrams without any obstacles.
