The creation of new PD-8, PD-14 and PD-35 engines forms the basis of Russia's technological leadership and ensures the industry's sustainability in the context of import substitution and localization. This was reported by the press service of the United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec Group).
UEC presented the conclusions of experts from ANO "National Priorities" and TsSP "Platform". The report emphasizes that technological leadership is becoming a key factor in the country's competitiveness, as it gives control over critical technologies, infrastructure and strategic data.
Maintaining leadership positions requires strengthening the sustainability of industries where Russia already plays a leading role on the world stage. Among these areas is engine building; our country is among the world's top 5 in the development and production of aircraft and rocket engines.
The corporation calls the projects the foundation of its own quality standard. This refers to a unified circuit of development, production and service, which creates a sustainable model where high localization forms the technological independence of the industry.
As a reminder,PD-8 is designed for the SJ-100 and the Be-200 amphibian,PD-14 will equip the MC-21-310, and PD-35 currently serves as atechnology demonstrator for future high-thrust power plants.
