An authorized training center is opening at the Additive Technology Center of the United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) to train engineers who will work in the Russian design systems KOMPAS-3D and the strength analysis system APM FEM.
The corresponding agreement was signed at the "Development" forum. The new educational unit will become part of the ATC program for training designers and technologists in additive manufacturing.
As part of the courses, specialists will master the full cycle of working with domestic CAD-CAE solutions: from designing parts and optimizing their shape to preparing models for 3D printing.
The main emphasis is on practice — students will use the software in tasks that are close to real UEC production processes.
The project is of strategic importance: the transition to domestic engineering platforms is directly related to the development of Russian aircraft engines, including the PD-8 for the Superjet New and the PD-14 for the MC-21 family.
UEC-Aviadvigatel is already using the KOMPAS-Composites module to create composite elements for the PD-14. Promising power plants will also be developed entirely in the Russian KOMPAS-3D and LOTSMAN:PLM systems.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that the manufacturer of the Be-200 amphibious aircraft with the PD-8 will hide its financial statements amid huge losses.
