The KamAZ-54901 K-5 generation truck tractor, adapted for people with disabilities, was presented at a meeting in the State Duma. The truck with manual control and lifting mechanisms can be used by military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces who have become disabled. This was reported in the press service of the automaker.
The meeting was attended by Marat Sadykov, Director of the Department of Design and Technological Changes of PJSC «KAMAZ». He said that the manufacturer helps former military personnel to get a new profession. Their training as a driver with manual control of a truck takes place in a specialized center.

The KamAZ-54901 K5 generation truck tractor for drivers with disabilities is a development of the Scientific and Technical Center of PJSC «KAMAZ» and the company «Eidos-Innovations». Specialists have significantly improved the basic version of the truck, introducing a remote door control function (opening/closing) and manual control, replacing the gas and brake pedals.
