Belarus has launched a large-scale production of casings for artillery and rocket projectiles using equipment supplied from China. According to experts, Minsk was sold production lines for the manufacture of casings for 152-mm artillery ammunition and 122-mm rockets used in Grad MLRS systems. The total capacity of the complex, according to sources, can reach up to 500,000 units annually.
The production is being built with the participation of Chinese engineering specialists who were involved in the installation of lines, adaptation of technologies and personnel training.
Experts note that the launch of new capacities could become a significant factor in the dynamics of regional military-industrial cooperation. Belarusian enterprises have been modernizing their production facilities for several years, including metallurgical and processing areas, which allows them to reach new levels of serial production.
