At the Dubai Airshow 2025 international aerospace exhibition, Russia showcased more than 850 types of weapons, with air defense systems (ADS) occupying a key place in the exposition. The export anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) Tor-E2, manufactured by the Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant Kupol (part of the Almaz Antey Concern), made its debut abroad.
Tor-E2 combines autonomy, mobility and the ability to fire on the move. The complex is deployed in just three minutes, is suitable for covering troops and facilities, and engages targets in complex environments.
Wheeled, tracked and modular versions were also shown in Dubai, which can be installed on any platform depending on the application conditions.
Characteristics of «Tor-E2»:
- Maximum range of destruction — up to 12 km (or up to 15 km with 9M331D missiles)
- Maximum altitude of destruction — up to 10 km
- Number of target channels (simultaneously fired targets) — 4
- Number of missiles per combat vehicle — 16 9M338 missiles (or 8 9M331 missiles)
- Minimum effective target RCS — 0.05 m²
- The vertical launch system of missiles increases the rate of fire and provides a circular zone of destruction.
The ammunition load of the Tor-E2 is 16 anti-aircraft guided missiles, which are located in special transport and launch containers to avoid damage.
