Польские полицейские передали в музей УАЗ-469 после 36 лет службы

Interest in Soviet-era vehicles continues to grow among collectors

In Poland, the country's longest-serving police vehicle, a 1989 UAZ-469, was sent to a museum. The vehicle served in patrol units in Lower Silesia for 36 years and became the last Soviet car officially in service with the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Over the years, the SUV has been repeatedly modernized and maintained in working order, but its basic design, legendary simplicity, and maintainability have allowed it to maintain full functionality even after decades.

Now, the UAZ-469 will take its place in the exposition of the regional museum, where it will be presented as an example of a service vehicle of the transitional era and a symbol of many years of cooperation between Polish and foreign equipment manufacturers.

Additionally, experts note that interest in such vehicles is growing: many collectors and historical clubs are restoring early models of UAZs and other service vehicles, which contributes to the preservation of the technical heritage of the late XX century.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that the updated Belgee X70 has entered the Russian market with new equipment and prices.
