Аддитивные технологии внедрили во все двигатели ПД-8, ПД-14 и ПД-35

The new methodology allows creating parts for aircraft faster, cheaper, and more accurately

The Additive Technology Center (ATC) of the United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) is implementing a new methodology in all engines of the PD-8, PD-14, and PD-35 series. This follows from the statement of Alexey Mazalov, General Director of the Additive Technology Center of the United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation).

PD-14

According to him, it is impossible to do without additive technologies if the task is to achieve increased operational characteristics of the product.

The entire focus of our production, knowledge-intensive, and technological attention is aimed at aircraft engine construction. The most complex works are directly related to such engine-building topics in the UEC product line, related to the manufacture of blanks for PD-14, for PD-8, PD-35.

3D printing of metal parts is capable of revolutionizing the entire approach to aircraft production, as noted by the United Aircraft Corporation. The technology reduces the labor intensity of many operations and is effective in repairing components.
