Ростех взял под крыло авиадвигатели: Россия восстановила утраченные компетенции

The corporation stated that Russia has restored the production of units

The Rostec State Corporation is forming a new generation of civil aviation — a model range of airplanes and helicopters designed to meet the needs of the country and ensure the transport connectivity of the regions. This was announced in the company's press service.

Rostec recalled that MS-21, Superjet-100, Il-114-300 liners, and the Ansat light helicopter are being prepared for production. Other promising machines are also being developed.

These aircraft are lifted into the sky by Russian engines developed by the United Engine Corporation — PD-14, PD-8, TV7-117ST-01 and VK-650V.

In parallel, UEC specialists are working on import substitution in the repair and maintenance of foreign power plants installed on existing SSJ-100s.

Russia has restored a number of competencies and is as close as possible to achieving technological independence in aircraft engine construction, Rostec concluded.

Against this background, it is curious to note that the titanium manufacturer for the new PD-8 and PD-14 aircraft engines will send some employees on downtime. All forces have been thrown into the production of the MS-21 at all, thousands of parts suppliers are already involved, including PD-14 engines.

Earlier www1.ru reported that Kazan Aviation Plant will increase capacity for serial production of the aircraft.
