Ufa enterprise UEC-UMPO (part of the United Engine Corporation) has been included in the 19th package of sanctions restrictions by the European Union. The company is the largest manufacturer of aircraft engines in Russia, with revenues of 130.3 billion rubles in 2024.
The company develops and manufactures the latest turbojet engines for the MiG and Su family of aircraft, components for the Mi and Ka series of helicopters, as well as advanced equipment for the domestic oil and gas industry. The association employs more than 25,000 people.
In addition, more than a third of the parts for the PD-14 aircraft engine, intended for the MS-21 medium-range aircraft, come from the UEC-UMPO workshops.
The plant participates in the creation of the PD-8 power plant for the Sukhoi Superjet and produces AL-41F-1 engines for the fifth-generation Su-57 fighter.
