Ту-214 жив, а не мёртв: Казанский авиазавод увеличит мощности для серийного производства самолёта

The modernization of the enterprise will be completed by the end of 2025

The Kazan Aviation Plant named after S. P. Gorbunov (KAZ, part of PJSC Tupolev of the Rostec State Corporation) plans to put into operation the main facilities for the serial production of Tu-214 passenger aircraft by the end of 2025. This was announced by the head of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov.

Modernization is underway at the Kazan Aviation Plant. The main industrial facilities will be commissioned this year, which will ensure serial production of aircraft.

The authorities decided to start serial production of Tu-214 after restrictions on the supply of Western Boeing and Airbus aircraft. The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Denis Manturov, noted that by 2027–2028 they will increase the production of aircraft to at least 20 units per year.

Tu-214 is a domestic medium-range passenger aircraft capable of carrying up to 210 passengers over a distance of up to 6,500 km. The aircraft has been produced since 1996 at the Kazan Aviation Plant in limited series.

The head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, Anton Alikhanov, noted that from 2027 KAZ will begin to satisfy the demand for Tu-214 from commercial carriers. The company's development program until 2030 envisages the production of about 115 aircraft, but this is not an exact plan, but a guideline.

Earlier www1.ru reported that new Mi-34 helicopters will begin to be built in Tatarstan.
