Russia needs to end the temporary import regime for foreign aircraft, otherwise there will be a risk of disparity for domestic production and imports. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Anton Alikhanov.
According to him, the measure should be abandoned, if not "this very second", then at the moment when its own certified machines appear.
We definitely need to declare the abolition of these preferential regimes for imports now. Otherwise, we will have a disparity for domestic production and imports in terms of credit rates and the availability of financing for airlines.
The minister clarified that, in a sense, the decades-old temporary import regime led to the almost impossibility of developing its own aircraft industry.
When you import a ten-year-old imported aircraft after a major overhaul, which does not require the payment of customs duties and value added tax, this a priori creates impossible conditions for competition from the domestic aircraft industry.
Also, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requested 259 billion rubles from the National Welfare Fund to finance the supply of previously ordered aircraft, as well as a new helicopter procurement program.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the former vice president of the UAC explained why the PD-35 engine project was curtailed.
