The Ministry of Construction of the Nizhny Novgorod Region issued two permits for the reconstruction of the scientific and production enterprise (NPP) "Polyot", located in the Leninsky district. The document was published on the agency's website.
The listed activities include the reconstruction of building No. 7, technical re-equipment for the production of aviation radio communication equipment, and modernization of production facilities.
NPP "Polyot" (formerly Gorky Research Institute of Radio Communications) began operations in 1964. The company is one of the leading developers and manufacturers of military aviation radio communications in Russia.
Among the company's products are equipment for Su-35S, Su-57 fighters, and others. "Polyot" equipment is installed on modernized Tu-95, Tu-160 long-range aircraft, as well as Il-76 military transport aircraft of various modifications.
Among other things, the company produces short-range and long-range communication equipment for the MC-21 airliner.
