Ministry of Industry and Trade requested 259 billion rubles from the National Wealth Fund to finance the supply of aircraft and helicopters

The agency expects to receive funds in 2025

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation has requested 259 billion rubles from the National Wealth Fund (NWF) to finance the supply of previously ordered aircraft, as well as a new helicopter procurement program. The agency expects to receive funds in 2025.

The head of the department, Anton Alikhanov, specified that the main goals of the support are the creation of production facilities, the completion of certification work on new types of aircraft, helicopters and engines, as well as the refinement of their flight performance in accordance with the requirements of airlines.

Part of the funds for these purposes is supposed to be raised from the sale of assets previously transferred to Rosimushchestvo.

Plans for the production of Russian aviation equipment are reflected in the Comprehensive Aviation Industry Development Program (KPGA) until 2030, which was adopted in 2022.

It involves the production of 994 civil aircraft and 765 helicopters by 2030. By the end of this year, the program is planned to be modified again.
