The superyacht Amadea, which, according to US authorities, belonged to Russian businessman Suleiman Kerimov, was sold at auction to a new owner. Neither the name of the new owner of the yacht nor the amount for which it was sold are reported.
In 2022, the US Department of Justice seized the yacht, which it declared the property of a Russian oligarch under sanctions. Kerimov's lawyers have repeatedly denied these charges. In September of the same year, the American government held an auction to sell the yacht. The US Department of Justice estimated its value at $300 million. Later it was reported that the estimate was reduced to $230 million.
The ship was built by the German shipbuilding company Lürssen in 2017. The yacht has six decks, a swimming pool, jacuzzi, two SPA complexes, a helipad, a cinema, a conference room, a gym, a wine cellar and an aquarium for lobsters. The ship can accommodate 16 guests in eight cabins. The yacht is serviced by a professional crew of up to 36 people.
