Забыли о токарке: 3D-печать перевернула авиастроение в России

New additive technologies allow creating parts for aircraft faster, cheaper and more accurately

The Russian aviation industry is betting on additive technologies. 3D printing of metal parts is capable of revolutionizing the entire approach to aircraft production, said Dmitry Bloshchinsky, Deputy General Director of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of the Rostec Group).

According to him, all new programs in the aviation industry are already initially designed for these technologies.

Additive manufacturing technologies allow you to grow exactly what you need right away. They give a huge leap in reducing labor costs, and, accordingly, in reducing the cost of the aircraft.
Dmitry Bloshchinsky, Deputy General Director of UAC

Bloshchinsky clarified that the technology is already used in the manufacture of tooling and dies at the Ulyanovsk and Kazan plants, as well as in the production of foundry molds at the Nizhny Novgorod plant "Sokol". This allows you to speed up production and reduce production costs.

The Deputy General Director of UAC emphasized that in future aviation projects, the share of 3D printing will only grow - from production preparation to creating key elements of the structure.
