Intercontinental "Yars" Not Trusted by Everyone: New Specialists in the Strategic Missile Forces

Calculations of the "Yars" intercontinental ballistic missiles on combat duty will soon be supplemented by new mechanic specialists. The Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) have released a group of junior military technicians, who have already passed control tests at a special test site.

The Ministry of Defense noted that before passing the practical part of the exam, the servicemen underwent a knowledge test of general military disciplines, as well as control tests on the design and operation of the units of the "Yars" mobile missile system.

After graduation, the servicemen will receive a driver's license for the PGRK "Yars" and will go to the places of further service in missile units and formations.

The department added that the training and material base of the RVSN technical school includes a modern training system with 3D graphics, designed to train mechanics-drivers of autonomous launchers "Yars" and support vehicles for missile systems.

RS-24 "Yars" is a Russian strategic missile system with a solid-propellant ballistic missile of mobile and silo-based deployment with a multiple independently targetable reentry vehicle (MIRV). According to data from open sources, the range of the missile is up to 10 thousand km.
