Calculations of the Yars intercontinental ballistic missiles on combat duty will soon be replenished with new mechanic specialists. The Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN) have released a group of junior military technicians, who have already passed control tests at a special test site.
The Ministry of Defense noted that before passing the practical part of the exam, the military personnel underwent a knowledge test of general military disciplines, as well as control tests on the design and operation of the units of the Yars mobile missile system.
After graduation, the military personnel will receive a Yars PGRK mechanic-driver's license and will go to the places of further service in missile units and formations.
The department added that the training and material base of the RVSN technical school includes a modern simulator system with 3D graphics, designed to train mechanics-drivers of autonomous launchers "Yars" and vehicles for providing missile systems.
RS-24 Yars is a Russian strategic missile system with a solid-propellant ballistic missile of mobile and silo-based with a multiple independently targetable warhead. According to data from open sources, the range of the missile is up to 10 thousand km.
