2025 has become a year of large-scale transformation for the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant (UAZ). The installation of a new press line is being completed at the enterprise - one of the largest projects of the plant in its entire history. After launch, it will be able to produce up to 20 thousand body kits per year, served by only one operator due to a high degree of automation.
At the same time, a new complex for the production of safety systems is being built: airbags, seat belts, steering wheels and electronic units. These components will be installed on UAZ vehicles and supplied to other manufacturers. The new production facility will create more than 80 jobs for residents of the region.
UAZ remains one of the largest employers in the Ulyanovsk region: the plant employs more than 6 thousand people, and over 5 billion rubles have been invested in the modernization of production over the past three years.
Until 2027, it is planned to invest over 18 billion rubles in the renewal of the enterprise: new lines for the production of cars and components are being launched at the site, workshops are being built, technologies and equipment are being updated.
