OJSC "Minsk Tractor Works" (MTZ) and the Russian company Severstal have entered into an agreement on cooperation in the production of agricultural machinery. The document provides for the use of innovative grades of rolled metal, including high-strength steels from the POWERS line, for BELARUS tractors.
Specialists from the Severstal Engineering and Product Innovation Center and MTZ will develop new engineering solutions to improve the performance characteristics of the equipment. The management of the Russian and Belarusian enterprises expects that cooperation will reduce the metal intensity of production and increase the service life of tractors.
The joint work of MTZ and Severstal will increase the competitiveness of Belarusian tractors and strengthen the position of the BELARUS brand in world markets.
Severstal produces high-strength POWERS steels, which extend the service life of finished products and increase their efficiency due to high impact strength and wear resistance.
The POWERS line includes:
- Powerweld (weldable steel)
- Powerform (cold-formed steel)
- Powerdhard (wear-resistant steel)
- Powerbase (boron-containing steel
