The "RESHETNEV" enterprise (part of the "Roscosmos" State Corporation) continues to create the Yamal-501 telecommunications satellite.
Now they are creating its engineering qualification model - a full-fledged analogue of the device, which is needed for ground tests for resistance to loads during launch.
After the completion of ground tests, the spacecraft will undergo a full cycle of tests for subsequent operation in geostationary orbit. The guaranteed service life of the satellite will be 15 years.
The company has also established the production of input multiplexers for Yamal-501.
These are elements of retransmission equipment that divide a radio signal into many channels for communication and broadcasting at different frequencies.
Earlierwww1.ru reported that the SKIF-D satellite successfullyconducted a video communication session from a height of 8,070 km.
