Bloggers in Telegram whose channel has more than 10 thousand subscribers are required to register it with the RKN in order to receive an "A+" mark in the channel description. The department has come up with a new verification tool - a bot in the messenger. For its operation, it is necessary to add the bot to the channel and grant it administrator rights.
It looks like this: after submitting an application for registration through the "Gosuslugi" portal, bloggers must launch the bot from their Telegram account and grant it administrator rights. There is no other way to confirm ownership of the channel in this social network now.
If the step of adding the bot is skipped, the application will be returned with a refusal, and you will have to start the registration process again.
According to the department, from January to June 2025, advertisers spent 6.7 billion rubles on promotion in Telegram channels, which is 54% more compared to last year.
