The United Engine Corporation (UEC, part of Rostec State Corporation) has a huge job ahead in the after-sales service of PD-8 and PD-14 aircraft engines. This was announced by the head of UEC, Alexander Grachev.
According to him, this is the activity that few people talk about. Therefore, the key task of UEC is after-sales service, because the requirements from operators are very high.
We must ensure round-the-clock operation, including replacement engines and specialists. We have assembled such a team at UEC, and we are ready to start operation from next year.
Grachev stated that UEC has entered a niche where the cost of the life cycle is important.
Where, in fact, they pay for the transportation of one passenger. We are in tough competition with all the world's giants, and the task is to prove our worth. The only thing we lack a little is time to start operation and confirm this.
The "UEC-Perm Motors" enterprise has begunactive modernization of workshops. This will help increase production volumes and significantly reduce the cost of advanced aircraft power units - PD-8, PD-14 and PD-35
Earlier,www1.ru reported thatRussia is completing the construction of 7 new aircraft, 3 helicopters and 6 aircraft engines.
