Firmware has been developed for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for Molniya-2 strike drones, allowing them to deceive electronic warfare (EW) equipment, according to a UAV operator with the call sign Dumber.
He said that now the Molniya-2 drones can move on autopilot when entering the electronic warfare zone.
It just keeps the course straight. As soon as it leaves the electronic warfare zone, we turn around and finish our target
The servicemen added that the firmware made it possible to significantly increase the effectiveness of combat sorties of the Molniya-2 UAV. Nine out of ten drones successfully reach the target. The percentage of hits is over 90%.
The flight range of Molniya-2 is up to 60 km at a speed of 120 km/h. Height is up to 300-400 m.
