The film studio "Soyuzmultfilm" has begun to actively use artificial intelligence technologies in its work. This was announced by the head of the studio, Yuliana Slashcheva, at the "New Media Workshop" site.
According to her, the studio has clear KPIs in the field of AI application, and the team is already testing solutions that help speed up and simplify key stages of production. Technologies are used to restore the quality of classic cartoons, automate character animation, generate backgrounds and environments, stylize content, optimize rendering, and even simplify the voice acting process.
We believe that AI can be a great assistant in our work, reducing a number of technical processes
At the same time, the creative component remains with the artists and directors, and artificial intelligence takes on routine tasks.
The use of AI in animation makes it possible to speed up production, reduce costs and open up new opportunities for creativity. For viewers, this means more high-quality content - both updated classics and new cartoons. For the Russian industry, it is an opportunity to compete with foreign studios, where such technologies have been used for a long time.
