The Omsktransmash plant (part of the UVZ concern of the Rostec state corporation) has sent documents to Rospatent to register a "dynamic protection module for the upper hemisphere of the turret" of armored vehicles.
We are talking about "mangals" - lattice structures that were originally made in a handicraft way and proved their effectiveness. The patent application indicates that the module consists of two parts with mesh screens connected through adapters. This design provides dynamic protection, as it can rotate, and allows you to quickly replace damaged elements.
The main task of the "mangal" is to protect the tank from FPV drone strikes. The lattice screen prevents the fuse from working correctly, which reduces the likelihood of a cumulative jet hitting a combat vehicle.
Earlier www1 reported that the tank engine was lifted with the help of two palm trees: the crew of the T-90MS told about repairs in the field.
