Specialists of Uralvagonzavod have accumulated vast experience in repair and apply it in practice. Thanks to this experience, it is possible to replace certain blocks several times faster. There are also constructive changes: the accessibility of some tank components and assemblies has changed for the better. Quick-release connectors and other solutions are used in cooling and fuel supply systems, which also reduce repair time.

But sometimes there are options even without equipment. There is a known case when, during tests in India, two palm trees were used as lifting mechanisms to replace a tank engine.
