The Turkish Ministry of Defense has not yet commented on the rumors in the media.
In 2017, Russia and Turkey signed a contract for the supply of a regimental set of S-400 for $2.5 billion, which was delivered in the summer-autumn of 2019. Also, the Russian side offered Ankara comprehensive system maintenance, said Dmitry Shugaev, head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation. In addition, there were rumors about interest in the SAM system from India.
The S-400 air defense system has been in service with the Russian army since 2007. The SAM system is capable of tracking and hitting up to ten targets simultaneously, including missiles, aircraft and large drones.
Earlier www1.ru reported that footage of the flight of the X-101 strategic missile for the Tu-160 and Tu-95MS has appeared.
