Managing Director of the S.V. Ilyushin Aviation Complex, Daniil Brenerman, announced that the certification of the Il-114-300 will be completed by the end of 2025. The aircraft features better fuel efficiency compared to foreign counterparts.
According to him, the prototypes have performed more than 350 flights, and the aircraft is ready for market entry. The first operator will be the airline "Aurora," which signed a lease agreement for three aircraft with GTLK.
Il-114 is the first aircraft in the Comprehensive Civil Aviation Program from the regional category to enter operation. The aircraft is the most mature and ready. In 2025, we must complete the certification of this aircraft.
Il-114-300 is "not just a replacement" but a "next step." The aircraft was created specifically for the conditions of the Far East and features better fuel efficiency compared to foreign counterparts.
The head of Rosaviatsiya, Dmitry Yadrov, also noted that the certification of the Il-114-300 is in the final stage and will be completed this year.
