Rostec Explained Unusual Silver Color of Domestically Produced SJ-100

The airframe needs to be protected from atmospheric precipitation and ultraviolet radiation

The fully domestically produced SJ-100 aircraft received an unusual silver color that was not used before. The Rostec State Corporation explained this choice of livery for the aircraft.

The state corporation noted that in order to accelerate the production of serial aircraft and start deliveries after obtaining a type certificate, a large production backlog was formed at the facilities of PJSC "Yakovlev".

Therefore, some of the airframes in a high degree of readiness are currently in storage.
