Russia has begun actively building shelters at airfields for tactical and army aviation, according to a former military pilot and author of the Telegram channel Fighetbomber.
According to him, the construction rate is not yet very high.
Better late than never, but about three times more are needed than are being built. Because every airplane and helicopter should have a home.
Fighterbomber also noted that these are new anti-drone rapidly erected hangars made of metal chain-link mesh, cables, and profiles. Judging by the scheme presented online, the hangar is 25 m high, 7.5 m wide, and 23 m long.
Six such shelters will require 600 m of metal profile with a diameter of 30x60 mm, 1800 m of metal cable with a width of 6 mm, 3600 sq. m of metal chain-link mesh, 2700 m of camouflage netting, 450 m of metal pipe with a thickness of 120 mm, and 90 cable tensioners.
