The Scientific and Production Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems of the Yaroslavl Region (RPC UAS YaO) will receive 1.5 billion rubles in 2026 to create production facilities. The region's application took first place in terms of funding volume and second place in terms of expert scores.
This is the maximum amount of funding in the country. We will allocate the funds to create a modern production facility for the serial production of small-sized aviation piston engines.
It is planned that up to 5,000 such engines will be produced annually in the region. This will largely cover Russia's need for engines of this class.
According to Evraev, the engines will be used not only in unmanned aviation, but can also be adapted for water and marine applications.
The funding will allow the creation of a high-tech production facility integrated with the educational and research facilities of RGATU, as well as strengthen cooperation with industrial partners in the region.
