Yaroslavl Motor Plant "Avtodizel" demonstrated its new engines at the "PRO//Motion.Expo" exhibition in St. Petersburg. The stand featured operating engines and promising developments for Russian Railways railway equipment.
The company's main new product is the YaMZ-855 engine. This is a 12-cylinder V-shaped engine with a working volume of almost 26 liters, developing more than a thousand horsepower and a torque of 4300 Nm. The engine is equipped with a turbocharger, liquid cooling and a modern Common Rail fuel supply system with microprocessor control. The engine life reaches 20,000 hours, which allows it to compete with foreign counterparts.
The YaMZ-537 CNG gas engine is presented for environmentally friendly operation. This is a six-cylinder engine with a capacity of 210 to 300 hp, running on compressed natural gas. It is equipped with a distributed injection system and electronic control, which reduces emissions and increases environmental performance.
In addition, the plant showed a promising YaMZ-770 engine. This is an in-line six-cylinder engine with a working volume of 12.4 liters, a power of 360 to 600 hp and a torque of up to 2550 Nm. The engine is equipped with a modern fuel supply system and a urea injection system and is undergoing testing before mass production.
