KMZ внедрил термостойкую пропитку для повышения прочности формованных стержней

SKB-3 and the KMZ Foundry Developed a Composition That Improves Heat Resistance and Reduces Defects in the Production of First-Class Cores

Specialists from SKB-3 and employees of the KMZ foundry have created and implemented a specialized impregnation in production, designed to enhance the strength properties of molded cores. This was reported by the company's press service.

The composition based on heat-resistant materials is used for processing first-class cores. Such cores have a complex geometry and thin walls, a significant part of the surface is in contact with the melt and forms narrow, hard-to-reach cavities in castings, as well as thin casting marks.

The new impregnation significantly increased the heat resistance and resistance to thermal degradation of the cores, which made it possible to reduce the proportion of defects in the manufacture of complex shaped castings.
