Yandex has unveiled an updated Lavka app with a new interface and an emphasis on personalized recommendations. The main page is now built around a recommendation feed. This was reported in the company's press service.
The service uses neural network models to analyze purchase history and the behavior of similar users to select relevant products and additions to the cart. According to the service, after the update, users are 50% more likely to notice and buy new items for themselves, and orders placed through the recommended block on the main page have increased by 70%.
The application also has a lower horizontal menu for quick access to four sections: "Main", "Catalog", "Ready Meals" and "Cart". The changes are aimed at simplifying navigation and helping to choose from the assortment, which has increased more than tenfold in six years.
