Construction of the high-speed passenger vessel of project L390 has begun at the Paritet shipyard. The keel laying certificate was issued by the Yaroslavl branch of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
The design documentation for the new vessel is being reviewed by specialists from the Baltic Branch of the Register. The development was carried out by Forss Technologies.
The vessel is designed for high-speed passenger transportation and is designed for eighteen passengers. It has a single-hull construction, and the hull is made of aluminum. Two outboard motors with a capacity of 225 horsepower each are installed for propulsion. To protect passengers from the wind, a fiberglass windbreak is mounted above the fender.
The vessel is being built under the Register class with the design symbol КМ⍟ HSC Passenger-A. Its main parameters include a maximum length of 11.95 meters, a length at the summer load waterline of 10.2 meters, an overall width of 4.1 meters, and a draft at the SWL of 0.56 meters. Taking into account the protruding parts, the draft reaches 1.5 meters, and the displacement is 7.3 tons. The gross tonnage of the vessel is twelve units, and the crew is two people. Some parameters will be clarified after trim and delivery tests.
The start of construction of the L390 demonstrates the growth of domestic shipbuilding capabilities in the segment of high-speed passenger vessels and expands the potential for small transportation on water routes.
